This article continues on from the
SEO tutorial, I'm going to teach you other factors for you can learn SEO
properly!
3. Old sites - In general, the older a
site has been indexed by the search engines, the more likely they are to be trusted and the easier they are to
rank. The reason for this is that there are thousands of spam sites popping up everywhere on the internet. That's
why the search engines look at the site age to see whether or not it should be trusted. See? SEO isn't that hard
now is it? Read on to learn SEO!
4. New Sites - Sometimes however a new
site will rank very well. The reason for this is that the search engines want to delivery up to date and unique
content. So anything that is hot on the news would be given priority to.

5. The content on the
site - If you have quality themed content then you are going to do well. Now quality
content does not mean keyword stuffing your pages full of words that you want to rank for. You need
to have unique and INFORMATIVE content. The search engines have robots and bots that crawl your
pages and take snap shots of the keywords and the content. So your site needs to be about a
particular topic, the more targeted the better.
6. Links pointing out -
Let's face it, most quality websites have links pointing to other quality sites. So you should also
have links pointing out of your website to authority sites and pages. You just need to understand
that you do not want to go crazy and have links pointing everywhere.
Although you cannot get
penalized for bad links pointing to you, you sure can be penalized for pointing to sites within bad
neighborhoods!

7. The keywords - The keywords
you are targeting also affect SEO. In order to learn SEO you must understand that keyword density is also
important. What is keyword density? Well you need to make sure that the keyword you are targeting appears on
average 1 to 2% on the page you are targeting the keyword for. Just don't go crazy and stuff a page full of
keywords. Also, you need to look at your competition that are also targeting the same keywords you are. The more
competing pages targeting the keywords you are going for, the harder to rank for those keywords.
8. Page length - Remember how I said in
order to learn SEO right you need to understand all the factors listed above? Well guess what? By listing the
things you needed to know, I was providing you with informative content. Now in order to deliver you informative
and educational material my article about it could not have been too small! That's why you need to keep in mind
that the page length and article size is also a factor. If you have a page with 3 lines then chances are it will be
very hard to rank well for whatever keyword you are targeting because you are not providing quality material.
